In the footsteps of Hans Christian Andersen

Visit the place where the writer of fairytales was born and see the exhibition on his fantastic life in the Hans Christian Andersen Museum. Explore the old precinct of the city of Odense in Hans Christian Andersen's footsteps, stopping off at his small childhood home in Munkemøllestræde and the places where he found inspiration for his writing.

In the open-air museum Funen Village you can experience a village as it was at the time of Hans Christian Andersen.
With Living History, activities and theatre performances you can enjoy the atmosphere of a day in the country in the 18th century.

Sail upriver with Odense Aafart (river tours) from Munkemose near Hans Christian Andersen's Childhood Home to Fruens Bøge near Den Fynske Landsby. Take your picnic basked along with you, or enjoy lunch at the inn Sortebro Kro in the open-air museum itself.

Show your ticket and get a 30% discount on your second visit to one of Odense City museums.
