In 2008 The Hans Christian Andersen Museum could celebrate its centenary. It was marked with a special exhibition at the museum - and with this web-exhibition.
The exhibition shows glimpses from the exciting history of the museum. The founding of the museum and its history during the past 100 years is illustrated with pictures and texts and old as well as new press photographs which shows the fantastic number of famous and royal guests who have visited the museum. Four generations of Danish monarchs and five generations of royalty have paid a visit – in addition to a large number of international celebrities ranging from Juri Gagarin to Indira Gandhi and from Nikita Krustjev to Danny Kaye.
You can have a closer look at the web-exhibition in PDF-format (posters) or use the lefthand-menu to look at stories from the selected years.
